History of 50's Rock

Medium:  Graphite, Spray Adhesive, Acrylic Paint, Burnt sienna Oil Paint, Color Pencil.
Information: This technique at Ringling is called an oil rub. You start off with a graphite drawing, then you add couple of coats of Spray Fixative. [Spray till no graphite rubs off on your fingers] Once dry add oil paint, lightly painted all over the canvas [a paper towel is your best tool] then you take a need eraser and erase out the highlights and light parts of the drawing. Once the oil drys you start coloring with color pencils [start with the dark and work toward the lights] Add acrylic paint if the lights need to be lighter and can't be achieved with the color pencil.

My Goal

I am currently an Illustration student at Ringling College of art and design. I create anything from digital work to traditional. This blog is to show my illustrations as I grow as an artist. I hope to use this blog as a way both share my work, and show my improvement as an artist.
Each post will contain a title, what Media it was made in, and what year it was made.
